Martin Holmes is a programmer/consultant in the UVic Humanities
Computing and Media Centre, where he has worked on software to support
language teaching and digital humanities for 20 years, and worked on
several SSHRC-funded projects, including the Map of Early Modern London
(http://mapoflondon.uvic.ca/) and Le mariage sous L’Ancien Régime
(http://mariage.uvic.ca/). He has served on the Technical Council of the
Text Encoding Initiative (http://www.tei-c.org/) since 2010.
