Eiko Eby, a Nikkei Yonsei, is currently the President of the Central Vancouver Island Japanese-Canadian Cultural Society in Nanaimo, B.C. (more commonly referred to as the 7 Potatoes Society). She has been actively involved in the Japanese-Canadian community in Nanaimo since 1987 and is a member of the National Executive Board in charge of Membership for the National Association of Japanese Canadians. She has a strong passion for the Landscapes project as both her parents were displaced and disposed of their belongings during the internment of Japanese-Canadians in British Columbia. Eiko is a professor in the Faculty of Education – Sport, Health, and Physical Education Department at Vancouver Island University.
