The National Association of Japanese Canadians and Landscapes of Injustice is very pleased to announce that Kara Isozaki is the successful recipient of this year’s research scholarship.

Ms. Isozaki will work this summer at the Nikkei National Museum & Cultural Centre in Burnaby, BC in the Digital Archives cluster. Kara is a very deserving scholar, she is completing her Master’s Degree in Museum Studies and Archives and Records Management at the University of Toronto this spring, and is active in the JC community at the Moriyama Nikkei Heritage Centre at the Japanese Canadian Cultural Centre.

Her application came with glowing accolades from the Greater Toronto chapter of the National Association of Japanese Canadians, Gardiner Museum, Japanese Canadian Cultural Centre and faculty at the University of Toronto.

Stay tuned for an upcoming feature article on this remarkable community member and we are thrilled to welcome her aboard.
